Three Cranes

The Sandhill Cranes are officially back! Kate and I saw one out in the field yesterday. Today there were at least 4 between both fields, but maybe five.

Sandhill Cranes feeding on the grounds at Creamer's Field in Fairbanks, Alaska. The flocks in town are dwindling as they head up to the tundra for breeding. We'll see them again at the end of the summer, hopefully in greater numbers.
