Contrast and Color

I walked around campus today to try to take pictures in the most awful lighting conditions imaginable. It was the perfect test for me and for my new camera.
  • First of all, at solar noon the sun is only 3.1 degrees above the horizon. So there isn't much light.
  • Second, it was incredibly overcast and there is snow on the ground and on pretty much everything else. So pretty much everywhere you look is just white. 
  • Lastly, it started to snow pretty hard, so now anything that did have color is now white.
